Landscape Design Process
The process begins with a customer’s idea. Ground Breakers works with customers to design and install custom landscaping projects. The following is the process we use at Ground Breakers.
Consultation
The process begins when the customer contacts us with an idea for their landscaping project. We set up an initial meeting at the customer’s property to survey the site and discuss the customer’s needs, ideas and budget. There is no charge for this meeting.
Planning
Based on information from the initial meeting, Ground Breakers will draw a plan and prepare an estimate for the customer’s project. Next is a second meeting with the client. At this meeting, the customer will have the opportunity to review the plan and
make any changes needed. Customers will then select materials for the project. Ground Breakers will give the customer an estimated timeline for the project. Typically, a 25 percent down payment is required when scheduling a project.
Construction
Our crew is ready to start the project. Hardscapes are completed first, followed by softscapes. Hardscapes include pavers, patios, and retaining walls. Softscapes are items such as edging, shrubs and plants. The Ground Breakers crew will clean the area at the end of each day, putting away all tools and sweeping driveways and sidewalks. For larger jobs, Ground Breakers may request an additional 25 percent of the payment when construction begins. Upon completion, we will do a final walk-through with the customer to ensure the customer is satisfied with the finished project.
